    Women of Wine Charities members: please join us for our 2014 membership meeting on Monday, November 17th, from 5:30PM to 7:30PM, at the Houston Area Women’s Center at 1010 Waugh Drive, Houston TX 77019. We will meet in HAWC’s community room for our meeting and check presentation to HAWC. Wine and light bites will be served, courtesy of Phoenicia Catering.

    • Summary of the year’s events and fundraising
    • Presentation of Board and officers for 2015
    • Discussion of needs and opportunities for 2015
    • Presentation of check to the Houston Area Women’s Center

    3rd Annual Sangria Throwdown!

    Our 2014 Sangria Throwdown was a hit! More than 200 attendees voted for Houston’s best Sangria, and here are the winners:

    1st place: Vanessa Treviño-Boyd, Beverage Director, & Sean Steele, Bar Manager, 60 Degrees Mastercrafted

    2nd place: Ryan Levy & Ian Eastveld, Owners/Winemakers, The Nice Winery

    WOW’s 2013 year-end donation to HAWC

    We recently gathered at the Houston Area Women’s Center for our annual check presentation. And this year we were thrilled to be able to donate $45,000 to this important cause — more than double our donation in 2012!

      I am a psychologist and have had the opportunity to refer patients to the Houston Area Women’s Center, and they do a great job. I would like the opportunity to be able to support them in their good work.
